Children’s Chapel will be offered during the 9:00 AM service for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. This is an opportunity for children to hear scripture at their level and enjoy an activity that compliments the story. Leaders will be ready to receive children in the classrooms beginning at 8:50 AM. During the offertory, when the monetary collection and gifts of bread and wine are brought to the altar, the children will process in and gather around the altar. Parents may join children if needed. Every child and youth is invited to join the procession and gather at the altar at this time, too!
Missy Greene and Angie Jeffery lead our Children’s Chapel. Multi-generational and seasonal programs, like Advent Wreaths, will continue to take place during the year.
What about Pre-K and younger?
Children are invited to use the nursery. The softspace will continue to be available during worship for families with children 3 and younger.
Children are ALWAYS welcome in worship with their families!
What about 6th grade and up?
Youth are expected to be present in worship. We also encourage them to participate in a worship minstry: acolyting, lector, usher, etc. Christian Formation for youth will take place at The Vine. Also new this year, a group for parents will take place at the same time as The Vine. You can find more information about this exciting ministry on our website.
